Project Description

My clients wanted a landscape plan that they could do themselves in stages over the years. Their acreage had tons of potential, but with currently dying tree windbreaks and few specimen trees on the property revealing views of neighboring yards, it didn’t quite meet their secluded expectations of living outside of the city. So I proposed bulking up the windbreaks with hardy willows and spruce trees, creating an amazing willow lined driveway, with strong focal points throughout the yard that I planned with strict symmetry but with the use of more textural plantings, the aesthetic will appear overall, soft and casual.

Functional needs and wants for the yard…

-vegetable garden

-fruit trees

-large specimen trees

-spaces for entertaining, dining and lounging

-fire pit

-screened in area for escape from mosquitoes

-play structure

-focus on the front entry

-paths joining areas of the yard
